Announcements and updates from the ZEENOME project.

ZEENOME accepted into Invest Ottawa's Ignition program

ZEENOME has been accepted into Ignition, Invest Ottawa's ten-week program for founders building technology companies.

The program combines workshops on product, sales, funding, and go-to-market with one-on-one mentorship from Invest Ottawa's advisors, experienced founders who have built technology companies of their own. Invest Ottawa's particular strength is as a connector: it anchors the capital's technology community and works actively to broker introductions across it.

For ZEENOME, those connections are the point. Ottawa is home to a dense health network of hospitals, research institutes, and national health agencies, and Invest Ottawa's reach into that community opens a practical path to the collaborations and funding relationships a genomic data-sharing protocol needs.

That's a wrap on the DSWS Hackathon

The Verifiable Private Genomic Computation stream at the DSWS Hackathon ran July 20–21, 2026 — two mornings spent asking what zero-knowledge cryptography could unlock for genomic data sharing, and where it breaks.

Participants walked a strawman ZEENOME user journey, tried the sandbox app, and worked through use cases, limitations, and infrastructure gaps together. Everything we captured lives on the FigJam board below.

The full event pages — agenda, session detail, ZK intuition demo, and user journey — are preserved at their permanent home.
